I'm so glad you know who this bride is! Is there a photo with her bridal party, if so, maybe you could match up some of the unknown brides as friends of your grandmother. Lovely picture.

Fab photo, so well preserved. Really love her dress and flowers!

So many of our family eloped (including, yep, Moi). NO photos!

What a wonderful photo of a beautiful bride in a beautiful dress. Thanks for sharing this!

Thank you all for your nice comments. I must agree. It is a lovely photo. My grandmother and her mother were both seamstresses, so I know they made the dress. The flowers were freesias. Freesias were one of my grandmother's favorite flowers.

Barbara - Wouldn't you know, I don't have a photo of the wedding party. My grandmother's family was not well-to-do in any way, typical immigrants, so my guess is they were only able to afford photos of the bride and groom.

Oh Carol, no photos! Have you posted about your elopement? You should.

This is such a beautiful photograph! She's beautiful and so is the dress. I have photographs of two aunts in their wedding finery but no direct line women.

Kristin - Thank you for your comment. I have so many wedding photos of people I don't recognize. Your comment is exactly why I post a new one every now and then. I keep thinking maybe I'll get lucky and connect a photo with someone who doesn't have a photo of their ancestors' wedding. Hope springs eternal...
